Fragrance and Sociability
Overview
As an enthusiast for both research and perfume, I thought I would combine both passions and conduct a research study on fragrance and sociability.
The Main Question
What role does fragrance have in terms of a young adult’s social confidence and sociability?
The null hypothesis: By wearing an ideal fragrance, an individual’s sociability and ability to make new friends is unaffected.
The alternative hypothesis: By wearing an ideal fragrance, an individual’s sociability and ability to make new friends is enhanced.
The Process
Recruiting Participants
6 people, all in the GBDA program.
Each participant will choose a perfume sample.
The Experiment
Go to 2 social events.
For each event, interact normally.
Then, discretely spray the chosen perfume sample.
Interact normally again.
Observe sociability levels throughout the event.
Fill out a Google form.
Repeat experiment x2, once for each event.
Dream it.
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
What’s the result?
